Translator and Interpreter's Week

Hello welcome to a new entry, I regret to announce that from this day on I will no longer attend classes at the university because I had an accident and the doctor has told me to rest for the remainderof the course 😔 but I will always be posting every activity that is done in class so I encourage you to continue reading each entry.

On September 6, we had the visit of PhD in translation, Nelson Rojas, who shared the topic "Translation process of a book".

I learned that as translators we have an obligation to our clients to know about everything, we are obliged to acquire knowledge. For example, if I like to watch anime, I will learn about Japanese culture.

In an ideal world every word would have an equivalent, but this is not the case, therefore it is necessary to know the culture of the target language.

Sometimes we limit ourselves, we minimize ourselves but we need to know the lexicon and regionalism because translating should feel as if the text has never been translated.
