Body language, coordination, and improvisation

Hi welcome to a new post! If the previous blog was made to laugh a lot this post much more. Let me tell you that participating in this week's activities was a real challenge for me, why? Because I am the shyest person so I could not participate much in the activities because I was too embarrased but I enjoyed watching my classmates and how they were doing in the activities.

These are the activities we did:

 a. Keeping focus

- Keeping eye contact with the person in front of you while being serious

In this activity we had to stand in front of  a classmate keeping eye contact while being serious. I did this activity with Nidia, she could be serious but I couldn´t.

- Keeping eye contact with one person as you walk around the classroom

In this activity we had to focus our atention in one point in the classroom I focused on a poster but I cheated a little bit, I couldn't keep my eyes on it because while I was walking  I bumped into my classmates.

b. Expressing emotions with your face and body

- Trying to make the person in front of you laugh out loud

It was very easy for Nidia to make me laugh, as I mentioned before I laugh at everything, so when teacher Orlando told us that we should try to make our classmate laugh Nidia said: "This is so easy, I'm not even looking at Eli but she's already laughing".

- Walking as a model around the classroom as you change your sight: angry, happy, sad eyes, etc.

In this class we have realized the hidden talents of our classmates such as that some of them can model, stay serious for a long time, act, and that teacher Orlando sings very well 馃憦. In this activity we had to model around the room making different sights at our classmates as we walked.

- Complimenting your classmates as you walk around the classroom

"I love your shirt", "your hair is very nice", "you have pretty eyes". Those and many compliments more are the ones you could hear in this exercise.

c. Improvisation

If I was embarrased to do the previous exercises with these exercises I was even more embarrased.

- Improvising the scene of a movie

In this exercise we were divided into groups and each group had to choose a scene from a movie or series, exhange it with the scene chosen by another group and then dramatize it, my group and I had to dramatize the scene in which Shrek argues with Fiona's dad during a family dinner, I was Fiona's mother.

- Improvising a scence depending on the background sound

As in the previous exercise here we had to select an instrumental song and then do a mimic following the background sound, with my group we had to do a mimic for a saf song so we dramatized a family sad because of the death of a family member.

- Saying bye with speech and movement.

To say goodbye we all had to make a mime that represented us when we said goodbye, in my case I choose  giving a hug.
