PDP lesson planning

Hello welcome to a new blog I really hope you are doing well! this day I want to tell you a little bit about the topic we learned on Thursday August 31, as you know we have been in the process of learning how to plan a class, two blogs ago I showed you how to plan a class using the PPP lesson planning framework (Presentation, Practice and Production) and now I want to show you another type of lesson planning that you can use to make the class more comfortable for the students and it is the PDP lesson planning (Pre, During and Post).

PDP lesson planning is a very useful tool for students to develop receptive skills such as listening and reading comprehension.

Pre (before) here the student participate in reading or listening activities like vocabulary, knowledge, etc.

During: while the students are in this stage they are provided with different activities that allows them to have multiple exposure to the text.

Post: This is an optional stage that is just you provide the students more skills and extra information.

Teacher Orlando took as an example the topic the Holistic  Medicine, the first thing he did was to give us key vocabulary about this topic and ask us if we knew what this type of medicine was about, if there is a perfume that reminds us of someone, etc. and then he showed us the text. While reading he asked us some questions about what the text.
