Feedback

Hello welcome to a new post! I’m very excited because this day I will tell you about my experience teaching English and the feedback we received from teacher Orlando.

My classmates and I were assigned to teach a vocabulary class so we decided to talk about medical vocabulary. I have to admit that at the beginning I felt very nervous and anxious but our students (who were our classmates) were very attentive and participated in all the activities so that made me feel very good and more excited to teach.

1. Make a more interactive warm up in which the students can be more involved.

2. Presentation

Teacher Orlando mentioned that our classmates really liked the vocabulary we taught them and that for some of them it was vocabulary they didn't know,

3. Practice

As a practice we decided to do a word search and although it was an excellent controlled activity, the recommendation that the teacher gave us was that whenever we do a controlled activity at the end we should always give the correct answers so that the students can compare it with their answers.

4. Production

The hot potato activity was a great success and our classmates enjoyed it very much but in the planning lesson we forgot to write that this was a free activity so in the next one we should be more careful and describe what type of activity it is if it is controlled or free.

5. Wrap up- Matching

Is a good option as long as the activity is well designed, for example, matching the numbers or letters with the correct word or sorting the words in the correct column.
