Lesson planning

 

hi everybody! how are you doing today? thank you for being here once again. if you are considering to become a teacher you need to understand the importance of lesson planning.

What is lesson planning? A lesson plan is the instructor’s road map of what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively during the class time.

in this class we did some activities related to lesson planning which were:

1. we watched a video about the importantance of lesson planning, these are some points that caught y attention: 

 

- a teacher need to develop strong lesson planning skills 

- a lesson plan help you to organize your ideas 

- when you don't plan your lessons students get easily distracted, there are behavior problems and your lessons are not connected. 

2. Answer questions of lesson planning ppt on a padlet wall:

3. read the material called “Checking Learning & Understanding” and highlight what we consider important: 

how do we know that the students have understood the class? how can we be sure that they have understood the purpose of the class?

1- notice reactons

2- monitor students 

3- ask questions

4- set listenng task before each explanation

5- get students to summarise what has just been said
