Good evening welcome to a new entry, I hope
you are all feeling well.
As you know part of the English didactics
course is to put into practice all the theory we have learned, for that this
week teacher Orlando taught us how to plan a class using a PPP lesson planning framework.
Presentation, Practice and Production
1- Presentation (teacher time) is mostly for
the teacher to explain the class
2- Practice (teacher, student, student,
teacher)
To be sure that the student acquires all
the knowledge, the teacher must perform practice exercises.
1. Controlled practice
In controlled practice the teacher performs
a practice by giving options to choose an answer, this helps the teacher to be
able to control the students' responses.
2. Free practice
Free practice allows the student to use his
or her creativity in answering.
3. Production (students)
Here the students shows what they have
learned by performing real life task
For example, our homework this week was to plan a lesson to teach vocabulary, my group and I decided to talk about medical vocabulary.
So in the next blog you will see what the
result of this lesson planning was.
