Voice projection

Hello and welcome to this space where I assure you a lot of laughs and learnings. For two wees we have been learning about voice projection, body language & language, and improvisation. Here I will share with you some of the exercises we did.

 Voice

a. Imitation

I believe that all of us have tried to imitate the voice of our parents, of a character in a movie, the way of speaking of a teacher, and that is what these exercises are about.

- Men imitating women

In this steps the boys have to imitate the voice of the girls

- Woman imitating man

In this step girls have to imitate the voice of the boys

- Men and women imitating children

If you are anime lover you should know that there are many people who do the voice for children's characters, personally I don't like anime but I like disney shows and I always dreamed of being the voice of a character. Basically that's what this exercise is all about, imitating the voice of a child.

b. Resonance

Singing exercises

- Pronouncing vowel sounds in good and long way (high notes)

This activity is very funny, in this video you can listen to us pronouncing the vowel "u" from a low note to a hight note.  By doing this exercise we can put resonance into practice.

c. Breathing

- Having a conversation while exercising exercising and moving backwards/forward

In this activity you should make pairs and place them in two lines facing each other, then ask them to have a conversation while moving backward and forward.

d. Articulation

-Trying to articulate sounds as you have a pencil in your mouth

This exercise seems to be impossible to do because you mustr try to make your partner understand what you are trying to say while you are moving.

e. Nidia's paticipation

Our colleague Nidia had the wonderful opportunity to share with us her experience as a broadcaster and taugh us voice- over strategies using some commercials she has done for different companies.

To understant this topic we did the exercise: Expressing a different purpose depending on the tone of your voice
